Welcome to Sonna. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sonna mobile application and website at sonna.smilarity.xyz (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sonna — whether through the mobile application or the website — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

Description of Service

Sonna is an AI-powered text-to-speech platform that allows users to convert written text into natural-sounding audio. The Service is available on:

Android mobile app — via Google Play Store.
Web — at sonna.smilarity.xyz.

Features may vary between platforms. Sonna reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. By using Sonna, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

User Accounts

You must sign in using a Google account to access the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify us immediately at support@sonna.smilarity.xyz if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
Sonna reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Credits & Subscriptions

Mobile App (Android)

The following plans are available via Google Play Billing:

Pro — monthly or annual subscription with an increased character limit and premium features.
Max — highest tier with the largest character limit and all available features.

All in-app purchases are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.

Web (sonna.smilarity.xyz)

The following plans are available on the web platform:

Free — limited usage supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob.
Pro — expanded character limits and an ad-free experience.
Max — maximum character limits for professional use.

Web billing is processed by certified third-party providers. By subscribing, you agree to their respective terms.

Credits & Usage

Credits are consumed based on character count per generation.
Audio Cache: We provide a temporary local cache for performance. Users should not rely on this as a primary storage and are encouraged to download their generated audio.
Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Unused credits do not carry over unless explicitly stated in your plan.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate audio that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or violates any applicable law.
Voice Cloning Abuse: Use the Service to clone or impersonate any individual (including public figures) without their express written consent.
Misinformation: Generate audio designed to deceive, manipulate, or misinform others (e.g., deepfakes or fake news).
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent an affiliation.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Sonna's systems.
Engage in automated scraping, data harvesting, or unauthorized bulk use.
Resell or redistribute the Service or generated outputs without explicit written permission.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account and potential legal action.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, branding, and materials on the Sonna platform (excluding user-generated content) are the intellectual property of Sonna and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Sonna materials without express written consent.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the text you input and the audio files you generate using Sonna.
By using the Service, you grant Sonna a limited, non-exclusive license to process your input text solely for the purpose of generating your requested audio output.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit any content you provide, and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights.
We do not use your input text to train AI models.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

Third-Party Services & Advertising

Sonna integrates with third-party services to provide the Service:

Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements on the Free plan. By using the Free plan, you consent to the collection and use of your data (such as Advertising IDs) by Google for personalized advertising.
Firebase Crashlytics: Used for anonymized error reporting and app stability monitoring.
Google Sign-In & Billing: Used for authentication and payment processing.
Cloudflare & Turso: Used for secure data storage and content delivery.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. Sonna is not responsible for the availability or privacy practices of these third parties.

Termination & Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time:

Mobile app: Via the "Delete Account" option in Account Settings.
Web: Via your account profile page at sonna.smilarity.xyz, or through the Account Deletion page.

Upon deletion, all your data (projects, audio files, and account information) will be permanently removed within 30 days. This action is irreversible.

Sonna may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sonna does not warrant that:

The Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
AI Accuracy: Generated audio is the product of artificial intelligence. Sonna does not warrant that the output will be 100% linguistically accurate, emotionally nuanced, or indistinguishable from a human voice.
Content Suitability: Sonna is not responsible for the context in which you use generated audio.
The Service will meet your specific requirements.

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sonna and its officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from:

Your use of or inability to use the Service.
Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sonna and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

Sonna reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indonesia.
